Travel often looks glamorous from the outside — airports, sunsets, beautiful cities, and unforgettable destinations.

  • But the truth behind most travel stories is much more grounded.

  • The real adventure is the life being built between the trips.

  • This past week was a perfect reminder of that.

Quiet Mornings and Coffee Moments

Some of the best moments of the week started quietly.

  • Coffee in hand.

  • A few minutes of stillness before the day begins.

Those simple mornings are underrated. They give you time to reset, breathe, and think about the bigger picture. Building a life that allows freedom and travel takes effort, and those quiet starts help keep everything centered.

Sometimes the best preparation for adventure begins with a simple cup of coffee.

Living the “Travel Life” (Sometimes That Means Your Car)

One thing people don’t always see about the travel lifestyle is how much time is spent moving.

Between errands, work, workouts, and meeting up with friends, some days honestly feel like you live in your car.

And strangely enough… it’s part of the fun.

Being constantly on the move reminds you that life isn’t meant to stay still. The next destination, the next opportunity, or the next adventure is always somewhere down the road.

Lunch by the Water

One of the highlights of the week was a relaxing lunch near the water.

There’s something special about coastal towns — the breeze off the water, boats drifting along the docks, and the slower pace that instantly makes everything feel lighter.

Good food, good company, and a beautiful view.

Sometimes those small moments feel like mini vacations even when you’re close to home.

Celebrating Rick’s Birthday

The biggest highlight of the week was celebrating my husband Rick’s birthday.

Birthdays have a way of slowing life down just enough to appreciate the people around you. Rick has always been one of the most supportive people in my life, encouraging every step of this journey and every adventure that comes with it.

We celebrated with a relaxing night out, enjoying live music, drinks, and good vibes.

There’s something about live music that brings a room together. Everyone is there to unwind, laugh, and enjoy the moment.

Those nights turn into the memories that stick with you.

Balance: Gym Time and Self Care

Of course, life isn’t only about dinners and music.

Maintaining balance matters.

Gym time and self-care are a big part of keeping both the mind and body strong. Building a life that allows travel and adventure takes consistency and discipline behind the scenes.

The stronger the foundation, the bigger the journey can become.

Time with My Belgian Malinois

Another highlight of the week was spending time with my girl — my Belgian Malinois.

Anyone familiar with the breed knows they’re full of energy, intelligence, and personality.

Seeing how excited she gets when she spots me from across the yard never gets old. Moments like that remind you how important the little things in life really are.

The Journey Between the Destinations

  • Traveling With Ashley Marie isn’t just about faraway places.

  • It’s about the life that builds those opportunities.

  • Some days that life looks like exploring a European city.

Other days it’s coffee in the morning, lunch by the water, celebrating the people you love, or enjoying a night filled with music.

Every moment adds to the story.

And every week brings the next adventure a little closer.

Stay tuned.

Because the journey is just getting started.
