That’s how I wanted it.
An open-ended journey into the known… and the unknown. Maybe New York. Maybe somewhere else.Maybe even Canada 🇨🇦 — who knows.
Miles, Moments, and the Road Ahead 🚗
I made the drive from Florida with my husband by my side and my faithful hound in the back seat 🐾
Three of us.
Miles of road.
No rush.
There’s something different about driving your way into a trip instead of flying. You feel every mile.You watch the landscape change.You give yourself space to think… or not think at all.
It’s not just travel.
It’s transition.
When Plans Meet Reality ❄️
I thought I knew what I was walking into. Warm weather. Time with family. A little reset.
The next morning? 35 degrees and snowing. I just stood there for a second like… of course it is.
Only in New York 😅
Coffee, Always ☕
Some things don’t change, no matter where I go. Coffee is one of them. Before heading back, I made sure to grab a few bags of Utica coffee — because sometimes the smallest things are what keep you grounded when everything else is moving.
It’s my reset.
And lately, I’ve learned how important those resets really are 🤍
Keeping My Balance 💪
Even on the road, I kept my routine where I could. Gym time.Late nights taking care of myself. Little habits that keep me centered.
It’s not about perfection.
It’s about consistency — showing up for yourself, even in the middle of everything else.
The People Make It Matter ❤️
The best parts of this trip weren’t planned. They never are.
Time with my aunt.Laughing with my cousin.Just being around people who feel like home. That’s what stays with me.
Not the destination. The connection.
Fun Along the Way 🎲
Of course, there was time to just enjoy life too. Bingo nights, laughs with friends, moments where nothing needed to be serious.
Just being present. Just living.
This Is the Life I’m Building
When I look back at this week, it wasn’t one thing. It was everything.
The miles on the road 🚗
The cold turning into snow ❄️
Coffee in quiet moments ☕
Workouts in between 💪
Family, laughter, and love ❤️
That’s what life looks like right now.
Not perfect. Not predictable. But real.
Still Moving Forward 🤍
If there’s one thing I’m learning, it’s this:
You can plan a direction…but you don’t have to control every step. Sometimes the best parts of life happen in the in-between. And right now? I’m just going to keep moving forward.

This journey isn’t over. I’m still heading north… still figuring it out as I go.
New places, new moments, maybe even crossing into Canada 🇨🇦 — we’ll see.
